I am really sorry for not posting in a while. The reason might be I am too enjoying the start of summer. But I promise I'll keep the blog alive.
Here I accidently do a review on LJ of Angel Beats! latest episode. Sorry if this might be a little disappointing without screen shot etc.
I am still had not understand.
-rewatching mode-
I suppose to be happy that the rest of GDM and the others 'graduated'. First I thought they were leaving the scene, lol Otonashi's blink confuse me. I have to rewind this several time dammit
Glad to see the main SSS members all gathered up to fight the shadows. And dont you think Oyama is kind of cool? Ehh wait, I'll make it clear how they are appear, also I need to memorize their names
1. Noda with his axe. the reason he helped it is for Yuri's sake.
2. Oyama-kun saved Hinata from shadow that attacking his back with a sniper. I was amazed for a while. probably Oyama's best move of the series. The reason he help is to 'surprise' the God.
3. Fujimaki hey the first time I know his name;
4. TK quickly follow up while mumbling, "Knocking on Heaven's door" just like the title of the episode. I dont know that is a song title after Otonashi Hinata said it sang by Bob Dylan. Maybe I'll try to hear it. Ohh here it is the link. I dont know if this song is popular or not, since I am not into west song that much.
5. Matsushita appears in a rampage nearby. And surprisingly he lose his weight. At first I know it's him, but when it is zoomed in, I am also wandering 'who the heck is this guy?!'
so all 8 of them reunited and fight! yay!
Yuri continues to the Guild.. alone.. doesnt she feels scared? lol I am the one who beating, please be okay Yurippe! please be okay! And yes she cant save her life alone, she helped by an old man from Guild -is it me or he then graduated?- then Otonashi, Hinata, Naoi and Tenshi. What if they dont come to rescue her? She might be graduated as the 'confusing' scene showing when she's unconcious. I said is confusing because I dont know what's the scene is all about. Hmm well it showed Yuri having ordinary life as a student. And the uniform, I finally realize she used to wear different than the others. lol this is my time reviewing Angel Beats so sorry for my lateness.

I think the scene in the school is because the program is trying to turn her into an NPC so she sees herself living a normal NPC life. You can tell she hasn't graduated because there's a flash that shows the fighting going on outside the window. But Yuri realizes what is happening to her so she talks about how she can't stand the cruel life she had and that's why she has been fighting against God during the series: because she thinks it is unfair. Then the boys save her before she can actually get turned into an NPC, so the classroom scene was kind of like an illusion shown to Yuri by the monsters I think?
The confusing part also her statement, she says I have no choice but is to accept this cruel meaningless life but in the end she says That's why I will keep fighting because this kind of life is unacceptable someone please explain to me.
The conclusion, please view the comments below! ;3
then she with the others try to find the source. by the way Kanade got an awesome new skill, the jet bomber!
Arriving alone at the end, Yuri found million (maybe not so million) computers. She find the culprit. When I look at him, his hair style remind me of Akihisa from Baka to test to shoukanjuu damn I miss it. Thought he's the culprit, but he's only being programmed to do it. Which means he might be an NPC too. Then there's the Angel Player the program he used to change and create everything on that world, the one who made it is a God-like.
Wow, after this is pretty hard to understand. (needs to rewind again and again).
well this is my conclusion about the Love (Ai) part:
If they find love they'll disappear, but if it manifest that world will become an eternal paradise, though it cant be happen since everyone should be graduated.
and I agreed with the user above me @whisperinghope
I believe "love" used by the NPC refers to the opening of one's heart (past what traumas they may have had in their lives) in order to "love" somebody else. People who have come to accept that should technically disappear from the school, as Yui did, but Yuri's "love" instead kept her in the afterlife, as did Naoi's.
and then the guy said that Yuri can become god. But I wonder how would it mean by choose the different path? =3= anyway when the computer detect 'love' from Yuri is pretty sweet. It made the atmosphere losen a bit. :D
'Human dont have the patience to wait even ten minutes or something!' this quotation of Yuri, total accepted by me. Then she go shooting all of those PC's. Very cool isnt it? Then that guy, is he really being shoot? but where's his dead body?

The guy in the computer room was created to run Angel Player and make sure anyone who found love got turned into an NPC by the program, right? So maybe when Yuri destroyed everything in the room it meant he could no longer do his job and thus was deleted by the program?
the ending, I want more of the sad-touching scene but maybe they run out time or something.
as a cheer up I made 77 Icons of Angel Beats! All characters!
click here to my LJ community. feel free to snatch some! :D
also fanart-dumping time!! ^o^
updated with some answers/conclusions thanks guys for helping me out!

I'd like to try to explain Yuri's "I have no choice..."-sentence. I'm neither a professional nor an experienced writer, so apologies for the length of my response. I'm unsure exactly what it is you misunderstood, so to find an answer I'll have to cover a lot of subject matter. It might be a bit too much to take in all at once,
and needless to say, much open to interpretation. In Yuri's words, "be flexible."
With the "cruel and meaningless life" Yurippe refers to the life she lived before entering the afterlife. Out of nowhere four intruders entered her life. Snap your fingers. Such an instance's all that seperates a happy go-lucky normal life from a terrible nightmare. Yuri labels it as cruel and meaningless because the demands those men placed on her; no way she could appease or please them. No way to make a difference. No way to rescue her siblings from that fate.
One thing that Yuri leaves out is what happened afterwards. She states people in the afterlife do not age and in her flashback she's clearly years younger so she must have lived on for several years after the murders. During that time, how was she treated by, say, her parents? Did a glance at Yuri remind them of all they lost? How much blame for what happened did they lay on her shoulders? Or did her parents try to move on as if nothing happened? In episode 2 Otonashi tried to inquire as to what happened afterwards but he did so rather tactlessly by asking Yuri how she died. I found Yurippe's reaction to that question quite telling - she was the one who came up with the word suicide. (Otonashi didn't even imply it.) I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out that Yurippe had wanted to commit suicide by jumping off a high building, got talked out of doing that but she slipped and fell before reaching safety. That would be consistant with meaningless and cruel to say the least. And in this case saying the least might be saying too much already.
The real question is: why? Why did Yuri and her siblings have to suffer that ordeal? There's no way those children deserved that. Basically, there's no answer to the question why. No answer, no meaning. Hence meaningless.
Now the clincher - assume there is a god and he/she/it intentionally made the world as it is, then responsibility for every event that passes, be it good or bad ultimately rests on god's shoulders. How can any god create a world that allows for such things as the tragedy that befell Yuri? A creator's supposedly omnipotent and therefor capable of preventing such atrocious acts. Since he/she/it did not prevent it while being able to do so, Yuri can only reason that a deity had wanted for her to endure such strive. Such a god can only be called evil and Yuri wants to meet face-to-face and give him/her/it a piece of her mind.
That is, supposing a god exists in the first place. (Also see the musings of the ancient Greek philosopher Epicurus.)
Time for me to sign off and start watching football. And despite the fact that our team's filled to the brim with big ego's, I guess I still have to support them. (And since I'm from the Netherlands and you might be from Japan, sorry that lame match.) On the other hand, I can enjoy most teams except those from South-America and southern Europe - those teams tend to play a bit too dirty for my liking and whine and plead to much to the referees. I hope that at least one African nation manages to survive past the pool stage.
Get chance and luck! :)
I kind of agreed about Yuri lived several years after. That's why it's rather confusing. I think Yuri didnt reply Otonashi's question.. maybe because he suicide her self or.. uhh I guest I copied your sentence quite after this. But honestly I agreed to what you say. All of it. It's being clear actually. :)
Talking about the God of what Yuri heading. With my view (and religion) God never arranged his men to suffer. Even they /do/ suffer, that is the way God wanted to know how much our strength. Usually it called test. If we manage to mantain our self from anger means we succeed the test, then it show us how strong are we. At this part, Yuri seems failed and, yeah she might suicide. There's a proof where God is kind to her, she manage to graduate from the afterlife.
People who suicide means they are failed of God's test. And they are weak. That's why we should always keep our strength and faith to God. Be Possitive and think possitive.
Ohh you are from Netherlands! Neat! Because our team managed to pass the qualification. May our team be succeed till the finals. :)
Very well thank you. For the comments and such. :)
